Brief Description:  Wing stands

I thought I better put something up here to make it look like I'm doing something! Waiting for my wing kit to arrive. I'm having the wing kit shipped with a friends RV-7 fuselage kit, so that we can minimize our shipping costs. Looks like I'll have my kit around the middle of April.

My wing stands are ready for the build.

With the wing kit, I ordered an extra Duckwork’s light kit so that I have one in each wing, a flop tube, tie down rings (I really wish Van's would post what they don't put in the kit) and the pre-formed fuel pickup.

I also received my package from Wicks Aviation which were the sealed nutplates (NAS1473A08 ) for the fuel tank inspection covers to minimize any chance for leaks and my package from McMaster-Carr, which was the stainless steel screws (part #90825A819) and the vitron fluoroelastomer O-Ring (Part # 9263K289) for the nutplate installation. Those nutplates are pricey..almost $5 each from Wicks!

I also picked up a Van's deluxe throttle quadrant and an Andair gascolator from VAF.

As far as the building side..I've been playing with the mounting of the electric trim servo. Should have that done soon.

Pretty exciting stuff! Off to Buffalo tomorrow and then onto Orlando and Port Charlotte for March break with the family. Hoping to stop by Stallion51 while I'm there! I'd love to go for a ride in the 51, but the cost of one hour is half of my fuse kit!
